We launched a specialized program to train school health workers in the municipalities of Ain Zara and Tajoura. The program aimed to equip school health workers with the skills necessary to effectively provide health education services.- First Aid- Chronic Diseases: Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Heart Disease, Allergies, Asthma- Infectious Diseases: HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, Covid-19, Influenza- Cancers: Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer- Correct Use of Antibiotics- Personal Hygiene- Psychological Support- Smoking and Drug Awareness- Dental Health- Vaccinations- Proper Nutrition- Health Report Writing .This structured approach aims to empower school health workers with the skills and knowledge to effectively conduct health awareness activities, engage students, and collaborate with primary health care providers to enhance school health outcomes.
First stage :
Targeting 56 school health employees, as there were 46 school health employees in the schools to be targeted in the program and 5 from the Social Service Department, School Health and Psychological Support within the Ain Zara Education Monitoring and 5 employees from the Social Service Department, School Health and Psychological Support within the Ministry of Education Education, where the training was at a rate of 20 hours over four consecutive days, and then the program was divided into two groups, each group included 28 trainees. We evaluated the participants with a pre- and post-questionnaire to know their own evaluation before and after the training, in addition to giving the training material from papers and sending PowerPoint presentation files that contain scientific material in order to display it in their schools and providing logistical support in order to implement a second phase of the project.
Second phase:
Implementing more than 350 awareness activities by trainees in health education TOT, inside their schools, where there was an average of 7 awareness activities inside each school in two periods, morning and evening, in order to sustain the project inside the schools.
Third stage:
Training 150 school health workers in 75 schools within the Tajoura Education Monitoring in the health educator program (first aid – education about chronic diseases – non-chronic diseases – correct use of antibiotics – personal hygiene – psychological support – dental health – vaccinations – proper nutrition – writing reports on the student’s health status and other important topics for 5 consecutive days and then dividing them into 4 group
Fourth stage:
Implementing more than 750 awareness activities by trainees in the field of health educationTOT inside their schools, then implementing 5 awareness activities within each school in the morning and evening periods
