The April Foundation actively participated in the World AIDS Day event held in the Andalusia neighborhood, bringing together a diverse team to engage with the community. The event attracted a wide range of attendees, including officials, children, the elderly, youth, and individuals living with AIDS. The Foundation created a space where participants could share their thoughts and knowledge about AIDS. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with heartfelt messages from all ages. A particularly touching note came from a child who wrote, “AIDS is not transmitted by talking or arguing with people, so please do not break their hearts and treat them.” This message, written in Martyrs’ Square, resonated deeply with everyone present, highlighting the importance of compassion and understanding in addressing the stigma associated with AIDS. The April Foundation’s involvement was a meaningful contribution to raising awareness and fostering a supportive community.
